In 2008 our owner, Andrea, a cake designer at the time, fed-up with the artificial flavorings & extracts available to her decided to try her hand at making her own, but with real, quality ingredients.

Right around this time, she also developed an obsession with whiskey, handcrafted cocktails and their relationship with bitters. This obsession lead her to begin experimenting with making her own bitters, in the basement of her home, (eventually dubbed "the bitters lab" by friends) to use in her culinary creations. After many years testing and perfecting her recipes she decided it was time to share her bitters with the community.
