Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. traces its origins back to 1933, when
visionary industrialist Shri Mahadev L. Dahanukar founded The
Maharashtra Sugar Mills Limited. Inspired by freedom fighter
Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Babasaheb Dahanukar later renamed
the company to Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. Under his pioneering
leadership, the enterprise played a significant role in transforming
Maharashtra’s sugar and alcohol industries during a time of limited
technology and infrastructure.
Continuing the legacy, the Dahanukar family has guided the company
across generations with a strong commitment to growth and
community development. Today, under the leadership of Chairman
and Managing Director Shri Amit Dahanukar, Tilaknagar Industries
has emerged as one of India’s leading producers of premium brandy,
achieving record national sales and expanding its presence in
international markets.
