The Benizakura Distillery is the first gin distillery in Hokkaido, established on April 26, 2018. Located in the Benizakura Park in Minami Ward, Sapporo City, it is renowned for its cherry blossoms in May and autumn leaves in October, offering seasonal floral beauty throughout the year.

The "9148" series produced by the Benizakura Distillery is distilled in a 400L still imported from Barison, Italy, using spring water from Minami Ward, Sapporo, as dilution water, yielding approximately 550 bottles per batch.

As craft gin makers, we pride ourselves on producing a variety of small-batch gins infused with the scents of local botanicals found in Benizakura Park.

Inspired by George Orwell's "1984," our labels feature designs by contemporary artist Hajime Hashimoto, a Sapporo resident. Each label bears the distillation date in the lower right corner and the recipe number in the center bottom, allowing you to appreciate not only the differences in recipes but also the seasonal variations in aroma.
