International Whisk(e)y Day falls on March 27, every year. It was first announced in 2008. The name is used with parenthesis to celebrate both Scottish, Canadian, and Japanese whiskies which have no e in it as well as Irish and American whiskeys. International Whiskey Day was started in the year 2009 at the Whiskey Day Festival in the presence of famous whiskey writers.
